Cardinal

On October 13, 1973, the anniversary of the 1917 miracle of Fatima, Our Lady appeared to visionary and stigmatist, Sr. Agnes Sasagawa of Akita, Japan, in what has since been recognized as a Church-approved apparition. Later Cardinal told the Vatican Ambassador from the Philippines that the message of Akita was substantially the same as the message of the Third Secret. 

• A terrible punishment
• Greater than the Deluge
• Fire will fall from the Sky
• The devil will infiltrate the Church
• Cardinal will fight against Cardinal
• The priest who venerate me will be scorned
• Altars will be sacked

As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. the survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my son. Each day, recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests. The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing, and bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their Confreres. The churches and altars will be sacked. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord. The demon will rage especially against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in a number and gravity, there will no longer be pardon for them. ty

While in Akita, Fr. Gobbi received this confirmation of the warning and chastisement that will soon purify the world, as had been foretold to Sr. Agnes:

I now announce to you that the time of the great trial has come, because during these years all that I foretold to you will come to pass. The apostasy and the great schism in the Church is on the point of taking place and the great chastisement, about which I foretold you in this place (Akita), is now at the very doors. Fire will come down from heaven and a great part of humanity will be destroyed. Those who survive will envy the dead, because everywhere there will be desolation, death, and ruin... in order to be protected and saved, (you) must all enter right away into the safe refuge of my Immaculate Heart. kb

The message to Fr. Gobbi include details of the chastisement, as follows:

Because this humanity has not accepted my repeated call to conversion, to repentance, and to a return to God, there is about to fall upon it the greatest chastisement which the history of mankind has ever known. It is a chastisement much greater than that of the flood...

In appearance everything remains calm and it seems that all is going well. In reality, (the Church) is being pervaded with an overwhelming lack of faith which is spreading the greatest apostasy everywhere. Many bishops, priests, religious and faithful no longer believe and have already lost the true faith in Jesus and in his gospel. For this reason the Church must be purified with persecution and with blood...

These are the times foretold by me, when cardinals will be set against cardinals, bishops and priests against priests and the flock of Christ will be torn to pieces by rapacious wolves who have found their way in under clothing of defenseless and meek lambs. Among them there are even some who occupy posts of great responsibility and, by means of them, Satan has succeeded in entering and in operating at the very summit of the Church... The activity of my Adversary to extend his reign over all humanity, will become stronger. Thus evil and sin, violence and hatred, perversion and unbelief will increase everywhere. Wars will spread...

Even in the Church, the darkness will descend more densely yet, and will succeed in enveloping everything. Errors will spread much more and many will wander away from the true faith...

The contestation directed against the Pope will become stronger; theologians, bishops, priests and laity will openly oppose his Magisterium... You have entered the conclusive period of the great tribulation, and the hour of the great trial...has now arrived for you. It is a trial so great and painful, that you cannot even imagine it, but it is necessary for the Church and for all humanity, in order that the new era, the new world and the reconciliation of humanity with the Lord, may come upon you. 

Archbishop Fulton Sheen once said that if the United States continued to kill life at its beginnings with abortion, at its mid-day with the handicapped, and at the twilight with euthanasia, it would lead to the catastrophic midnight of nuclear war. Bl. Mother Teresa of Calcutta agreed , saying : Abortion leads to nuclear war!” Remember that Our Lady of America warned: “Dear children, unless the United States accepts and carries out faithfully the mandate given to it and all nations a great havoc of war and incredible suffering,” and she warned that this may included nuclear warfare if we do not convert. Our Lady also said through Fr. Gobbi: “This crime (abortion) cries for vengeance in the sight of God.” It appears today to be well after eleven in the evening. But, there is still hope! And we know where, and from whom, our hope comes from.

 In the end, Our Lady of Akita said: “Whoever entrusts themselves to me will be saved.” kb
